Colleges & Students

William Salmond has handled legal concerns of university students and staff for more than 30 years. Cases including suspensions and dismissals from the university are among his frequent cases. He also provides representation on related criminal charges that may be filed in court. Defenses to keep students in good school standing are among weekly legal work. Located a block from the University of Maryland, College Park Campus, Mr. Salmond has appeared in more than 500 university hearings involving Universities in both Maryland and in the District of Columbia. Having started student legal service programs at two University of Maryland campuses, he is uniquely qualified to assist students and university personnel with their legal concerns.

Criminal & Traffic Defenses

Mr. Salmond makes regular appearances in both the State District and Circuit Courts representing citizens charged with traffic and criminal violations. Included are defenses on marijuana charges ranging from simple possession to manufacturing marijuana. He diligently defends the rights of his clients throughout the courts of Maryland.

Family & Civil Law

Mr. Salmond has experience in both civil and family law ranging from contractual disputes to separation agreements, divorce, child custody and visitation. He provides mediation services to separating partners. He is an experienced advocate and litigator with more than 30 years of experience in civil and family law.
